Name – Nishtha Jain
Concept Note
My works are related to activities of daily life. I like to incorporate the thing of people’s daily lives into my painting. My works
reflect the conection between figures, objects and forms around them. Most of my painting are figurative. During my college days, I used to go the railway station, musem to improve my sketching. There I used to observe people and include them in my sketchbook, I have improved my lines through sculpture in the museum. A few months later I changed my sketching style and making lines in a simple way. Mostly i paint my grandfather because after my father’s and grandmother’s death, grandfather was the only one with whom i would spend most of my time. Earlier i did not use much colours in my painting but now my colour palette has changed over time. I want explore colours as possibility to create new Dimension in my work, approaching towards colours according to what is been painted and what is felt.
