EDUCATION
Learnt the basics of sculpting from local Arts School Sagari during 1984 – 86.
Studied Bsc Maths at St.Thomas College Thrissur in 1987;(University of Kozhikode). Did
research on the history of arts and its relevance in India at Bharath Bhavan, Bhopal
during 1987 – 88. When artist J.Swaminathan was alive!
Studied Sketching and Model Studies at Delhi Modern Art Gallery 1990 – 1991.

AT FINE ARTS COLLEGE THIRUVANANTHAPURAM
I spent some time at fine arts college,Thiruvanathapuram when Artist Haridasan was The
Principal. Thereafter I went to Delhi to get art training under the tutelage of Artist Sathish
Gujral during 1989-90. Life in New Delhi as an artist was most inspiring. Then I went to get
trained under the illustrious artist Paris Mohankumar during 1991–1992

Endevours in Sculpture
My two creations of sculpture became part of contemporary art history because of my
subjects were popular figures of India .
1. Justice VR Krishna Iyear – 2003 Living genius of Indian Judiciary.
2. Padmasree Raghavan Thirumulpad – 2005 living genius in Ayurveda.
3. I also completed a terracotta sculpture of Sri P.Kunjiraman Nair a genius poet of
Kerala that was commissioned by the State Library Kollamkode,Kerala in 2008
4. 2009 – 2010 I was commissioned by the Govt.of Kerala for two contemporary
Musical Program titled ‘Bhajan Sayahnam’ at Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur,
written and composed by me.
